Assignment #7 Herbals, Botanicals, and Supps

Ginger

Ginger has been used as a natural remedy for many ailments. Today, researchers are finding that ginger works wonders in the treatment of everything from migraines to cancer. I found ginger tea very tasty and it helps me to reduce my stress and get rid of headache. 

Some benefits of ginger are such as:                                                             
1) Treats morning sickness
2) Reduces Pain and Inflammation                                        
3) Heartburn Relief
4) Cold and Flu Prevention and treatment
5) Migraine Relief
6) Colon cancer Prevention
7) Prevention of Diabetic 


I could not find any negative effects of ginger. Ginger may have some side effects if consumed in larger doses. Those side effects are such as:
1) Mild heartburn
2) Upset stomach
3) Mouth irritation

  1. Ginger is good, and I didn't know how beneficial it was! I like eating the ginger plain when I get sushi. I have never tried ginger tea but it sounds interesting. Funny how certain foods that we don't hear a lot about seem to have some of the best health benefits.

  2. Wow I had no idea Ginger was so beneficial for us!! I know they serve it with Ginger but I have always been afraid to eat it or try it, I guess I should give it a shot. And definitely try it in my tea since I've been drinking a lot of tea lately. :)

  4. Ginger is amazing. I have an experience about ginger. My mom had suffered from stomach pain for long time , but after she took ginger for two months , her pain completely gone.

  5. Wow! Thanks for sharing! :) I actually really loveee ginger tea! I just take a ginger root and boil it in water for a little bit and drink it...it's very tasty! I just never knew how beneficial it was! Thanks Mona! :)

  6. I never knew ginger was used for so many ailments. I have tried ginger tea for a stomach ache in the past, but it can be a bit on the strong side for me. Hopefully I can find some other ways to incorporate ginger into my diet.

  7. I had no idea that ginger was used to cure headaches! I have always has a problem with migraines and headaches. After reading this I definitely want to give it a try. I also will research how I can use this more in my cooking! Thanks for the tip.
