Assignment #7 Herbals, Botanicals, and Supps

Ginger

Ginger has been used as a natural remedy for many ailments. Today, researchers are finding that ginger works wonders in the treatment of everything from migraines to cancer. I found ginger tea very tasty and it helps me to reduce my stress and get rid of headache. 

Some benefits of ginger are such as:                                                             
1) Treats morning sickness
2) Reduces Pain and Inflammation                                        
3) Heartburn Relief
4) Cold and Flu Prevention and treatment
5) Migraine Relief
6) Colon cancer Prevention
7) Prevention of Diabetic 


I could not find any negative effects of ginger. Ginger may have some side effects if consumed in larger doses. Those side effects are such as:
1) Mild heartburn
2) Upset stomach
3) Mouth irritation 













Assignment # 5 Stress Reduction

Music

I picked listening to music as my stress reduction technique because that is what I enjoy doing. I work a lot and have to deal with many people at work. By the time I get off work, I am stressed out and need to do something about it. There are many songs by my favorite artists that I can relate to and feel good while listening to them. In past I would try to eat chocolate to reduce my stress but that was not helpful since I gained a few pounds ;) Music helped me physically because every-time I listen to a song with a nice beat to it, I get up and dance. Also it has helped me emotionally because when I am sad or angry, a slow song will calm me down. Music also has helped me mentally because I am not thinking as much when I listen to music and it is very relaxing when I do not think. I will try to listen to music everyday to relax and feel good.


Assignment #6 Kids off drugs


Kids off Drugs

If I ever have a child, I will make sure he or she is open to talk to me and is comfortable bringing problems home. It is so important to let your children know that they can tell you anything and that you will be there to support them. Many parents these days try to judge their own kids and they do not support them when they go through tough times. I will be friendly to my kids so they want to spend more time at home rather than staying out with friends. Also it is helpful if parents know who their kids hang out with and where they normally spend their time at. Giving a little information about drugs and the consequences will help preventing our kids from using drugs. Most teenagers who are using drugs today have problems at home with their parents or they do not feel comfortable staying home with their family.

You get what you work for.


I believe this because I had to work hard for what I have achieved so far. Nothing comes easy to our lives. You don't always get what you wish for but you do get what you work for. Being negative in life is the enemy to success because you will never grow since something is holding you back. Every time I wanted something in life that was achievable, I planned and worked hard to get it. Stay positive in life and know that hard work will payoff someday. In my opinion achieving something that you worked hard for is more enjoyable than receiving it without any hassle.
