Assignment #2

Food Inc surprised me just how many foods we are eating that we never knew contained a genetically modified ingredient. I disagree with the fact that the government allows food producers to genetically modify our food and put them in the market. For the longest time I was eating cereal for breakfast thinking that it was a healthy choice for me without looking at its nutrition information. After watching this movie, I changed the way I eat today. I have been buying food from local farmers market and trying to stay with organic food as much as possible. I will definitely suggest my friends and family to watch this movie and any other related movies and think twice before picking any food items from grocery stores.

  1. Hey Mona, I was also unaware of the amount of foods containing gmo's! I eat a pretty healthy diet but this movie showed me that not everything I have been eating is what I thought it was. My family thinks I'm a bit crazy as I have suggested growing our own food from now on. I think this is a good movie for everyone to watch. Most of the info in this movie was news to me, as I suspect it would be to many others. Great pic btw!

  2. I love documentaries so this would be something I would show my family or friends too. Hearing about the cheeseburger law and how that enables the companies to hide important nutrition information away from us is horrific. We all have choices but when things like this are hidden, how do we know what we are really eating?

  3. Hello Mona, Your picture sums up the documentary really well. I was surprised by the amount of synthetic chemicals used to grow our fruits and vegetables. Can we still call our produce natural?

  5. I definitely went home and showed this film to my family! I think everyone has a right to know what they are eating. If only more people knew about this and we were strong enough to do something about it. Your picture really sums up this film. Nice find! :)
